Hey Reader, Thanksgiving week is officially here! 🦃🤗 If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I made a big batch of chicken stock last week in preparation for the holidays. I love using homemade ingredients, and having chicken stock in my freezer at all times is a must for me. Another essential I like to keep on hand this time of year is homemade pie crust. It tastes so much better than store-bought that I can’t imagine going without it. Recently, I made some tweaks to my all-butter pie crust recipe by adding sourdough discard, and I’m totally obsessed! The sourdough gives it a subtle tangy flavor that complements everything from apple pie to turkey pot pie - and really any dish that calls for pie dough. I can't wait for you to try it and let me know what you think! 😊 P.S. - Reply to this email and let me know! What's your favorite pie to make for the holidays? To help you get the best results, here are some ingredients and tools I recommend:

Hey Reader, It’s the final countdown to Christmas! 🎄🎅 This year, I'm celebrating across three days. And of course, sourdough will be a part of each one. On the Saturday before Christmas, we're having Italian food with my dad, and I’m bringing sourdough garlic bread to share. Christmas Eve is at my mom’s house, where I’m making meatballs with sourdough breadcrumbs. And for Christmas Day brunch with my fiancé’s family, I’m planning a loaf of sourdough bread for avocado toast. So simple and...
Hey Reader, What do you usually cook for Christmas dinner? 🎄🍽️ My fiancé and I are part Italian, so I love making Italian dishes for the holidays. I usually whip up a big pot of red sauce for baked ziti, lasagna, and meatballs. 🍝 Last year, I started making my homemade lasagna with sourdough pasta and using sourdough breadcrumbs for the meatballs. It was so good! I’m also looking forward to making some sourdough side dishes for our Christmas dinners again this year. Today, I want to share...
Hey Reader, The holidays are in full swing at my house! 🎄✨ My fiancé and I have been busy - from Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving to picking out our tree, and now planning a Christmas craft night. 🎨 I've also been baking up a storm this year, testing new sourdough cookie recipes just for Christmas! 🍪🎅 While I already had some staples on the blog (like my sourdough chocolate chip cookies), I wanted to give some classic Christmas cookies a sourdough twist. And try a few unique ones, too. In the...
