🌾🥜 Sourdough Granola & Granola Bars

Hey Reader,

While making sourdough bread is always fun, sometimes you just want a quick, easy win to use up that extra sourdough discard.

That’s where homemade sourdough granola and granola bars come in! 🌾🍫🥜

I love making my own snacks because I can control exactly what goes in - no hidden ingredients. And these recipes are packed with just the good stuff like oats, nuts, seeds, and dried fruit.

Plus, they’re totally customizable, so you can add your favorite mix-ins to make them your own.

And the best part? The granola bars freeze really well, so you can make extra and have them ready to go whenever you want.

I’d love for you to try them and let me know what you think! 😊

To help you get the best results, here are some ingredients and tools I recommend:

  • Natural Peanut Butter – I love using Teddie brand because they’re local to Massachusetts (just like me!).
  • Kitchen Scale - For the best results with my recipes and fewer dishes to wash, I highly recommend getting a kitchen scale.
  • Square Aluminum Pan - Bakes the granola bars evenly and makes them the perfect size and shape.
  • Glass Storage Containers - Glass airtight containers keep your granola and granola bars fresh and are easy to clean and eco-friendly.
  • Parchment Paper - Lining with parchment paper makes lifting the granola bars out easier and prevents the granola from sticking.

The Sourdough Slice Serving sourdough recipes, stories, and inspiration every Saturday morning. Hey Reader, Ever since I started making sourdough garlic bread, it’s become the thing I’m asked to bring to every family gathering—birthday dinners, holidays, you name it. 🧄🥖 And honestly? I don’t mind one bit. It’s crusty, buttery, perfectly garlicky… everything you want garlic bread to be. The tang from the sourdough adds something extra that store-bought bread just can’t match. I’ve got my...

The Sourdough Slice Serving sourdough recipes, stories, and inspiration every Saturday morning. Hey Reader, Guess what? It’s officially blueberry season! 🫐 There’s nothing better than sweet, juicy blueberries freshly picked from a farm. I go blueberry picking every summer and I always end up bringing home more than I know what to do with. Part of last year's blueberry picking haul. After freezing half of what I pick, I usually make sourdough blueberry muffins. And let me tell you—the oat...

You see, I’ve been doing my best to stay busy lately—getting outside, building my confidence back up, and learning how to enjoy my own company again...
