Hey Reader,
Have you ever tried baking sourdough dough straight from frozen? ❄️🍞
A friend asked me that last week, and I realized I’d never actually tried it myself. So of course, I had to test it out right away.
And I was so surprised by how well it actually worked!
I shaped the dough, let it sit out for a bit to proof, then froze it overnight. The next morning, I baked it straight from frozen in a 450°F Dutch oven — 1 hour 10 minutes covered, then 5 minutes uncovered.
Outside of sourdough experiments, I’ve also been spending a lot of time working on my yard this week. I weeded and mulched my front garden beds and pruned my giant rhododendron.
Speaking of a spring refresh… if you’ve got some stale or overproofed sourdough, I’ve got you covered with five of my favorite ways to put it to good use.
I hope you give one (or all) of these a try and enjoy! ☺️
